Who we are and what we do

We make it easy to access, discover, retrieve and combine public verified geodata on various themes. Through value-creation opportunities around data, we support growth of knowledge, modern and effective management and optimized solutions.

SDFI is a workplace with a broad professional and scientific knowledgebase that forms an important geodata-driven part of the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities. SDFI is positioned in Østerbro, København and has 270 employees in 16 offices, each specializing in their own areas. The offices work together in three themes; data foundation, data cohesion and data solutions, reflecting their positions in the value chain.

At the Danish Agency for Data Supply and Infrastructure, we see it as our primary task to ensure that citizens, authorities and businesses are supported, both digitally and in terms of coherent geodata.

Working as a Ph.D in SDFI - within Geo-science

SDFI supports a Coherent Data Foundation for a Digital Denmark. SDFI provides the public and private sectors with easy access to high-quality geo-referenced data - objects of either physical, scientific or administrative origin.
