One of the most important FOSS values is “first” – which means that FOSS has an ambition to develop and deliver innovative products to the food industry that pushes the edge of what is technologically possible. To achieve this goal, FOSS has a focus on investing in research and development in it’s own R&D department as well as collaborating with leading universities and pioneering customers. It is critical for FOSS’ success to maintain a high competency level of our employees and thus we continuously look for talented ph.d.’s and post.doc.

Working as a PhD at FOSS

As a ph.d. in FOSS R&D, you will have a high responsibility in developing our new products. Typically, you will work in project groups with people representing many other technical disciplines, and you will be involved in the development process from the initial conceptualization to the final transfer to operations. You will have a significant impact on the performance and success of new products, and you will also be engaged with customers in the development process. FOSS prioritizes a good work-balance environment, and you can plan your daily work schedule with high flexibility. The most relevant technical disciplines in FOSS R&D are data science, physics/optics, chemistry, mechanics, electronics and SW-development.
